Niger State Ministry of Health has taken ownership of the new Primary Health Care Development Agency office building situated at the Abdulkareem Lafene Secretariat Complex, Minna.

A press statement signed and issued by the Information officer of the ministry, Muhammad Sani Abubakar stated that the Honourable Commissioner of Health, Dr Muhammad Muhammad Makusidi who received the edifice on behalf of the ministry from Dante and Wedge Global Resources Limited, contractors who executed the project; said that the project was part of the performance for result under the Saving One Million Lives Programme.

Dr Makusidi said the state had scored above average since inception of the programme and part of the funds gotten were used in building the architectural edifice.

He assured that the structure would be judicious utilized for the development of humanity.

Earlier at the occasion of the handing and taking over of the edifice, the Executive Director of the Agency, Dr Ibrahim Ahmed Dangana, who was very excited about the development, thanked the governor for providing an enabling environment for the sector to thrive.

He said the state had done well with funds from SOML under the distinct leadership skills of the honourable commissioner who monitored the project from beginning to the end.

In addition, Dr Dangana thanked everyone in the team that helped towards the success of the building.

He added that facilities in the building are open to any department in the ministry for use like the ICT Unit and the conference hall for meetings.
