The newly appointed executive council of the of Road Transport Employers’ Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Niger State branch have been inaugurated.

Inaugurating the council yesterday at the association’s state secretariat, National President of the association, Alh. Mohammed Musa Mai-Takobi said that the newly reconstituted executive will pilot the affairs of the state chapter for four years.

In his acceptance speech, the new executive chairman, Comrade Salihu Umar Kata appreciated the efforts of the national executive, particularly the president and electoral commitee for the confidence reposed in him, which he believes led to his appointment as the state chairman of the great association, he assured   them that his appointment will never be a thing of regret.

Kata urged members of the executive to support him by bringing positive initiatives that will move the association to a greater height at all levels; as an adage says ‘a tree can not make a forest.’

He used the medium to call on his family members, well wishers as well as members of the Board of Trustees, Alh. Saba Naira and Alh. Garba paiko to support him with prayers to enable him by uplifting the association as no success is achieved or ascertained without prayers.

Members of the newly reconstituted executive committee are, Comrade Umar Salihu (kata), state chairman. Comrade Dan’asabe Mohammed Agaie (Swajiya), Secretary General.  Alh. Garba Paiko, vice chairman administration. Alh. Diko Manu, Treasurer. Alh. Aminu Suleja, financial secretary. Umar Mohammed (Nma), organising secretary, and Comrade Ahmed Kutigi as the public relations officer.
