Member representing Bosso constituency, Hon Malik Madaki Bosso has called on the state government to urgently come to the assistance of victims of rainstorms in villages around his constituency.

In a motion of urgent public importance laid before the House of Assembly, the member said two lives were lost as a result of the rainstorm and several houses and properties worth millions of naira.

The villages worst hit according to him were Bmarikici, Lunko, Sabon Lunko, Beji, Gosa, Gidan Mangoro, Kodoko, Gbada and Kuchiyi.

He told the House plenary that the Niger State Emergency Management Agency were invited to access the impact of the damages caused by the rainstorm for urgent intervention.

He then called on the executive to urgently come to the assistance of victims of the rainstorm who are now homeless, hungry and devasted.

Hon Malik Bosso said he had assisted a widow and her four children who were rendered homeless by the natural disaster, by renting an apartment for them pending when their house will be fix to enable them return home.

He said government early intervention will greatly reduce the hardship the people are facing in this difficult times.
