Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has called on legal practitioners in the state to maintain the highest level of discipline in the execution of state laws and policies.

The governor gave the charge when he received a delegation of members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Niger State Chapter on a courtesy visit to the Government House.

Describing the NBA as superior to any individual legal practitioner, he called for ethics and professional conduct in the dispensation of justice by the members, stressing that as the last hope of the common man, the legal workers should be held responsible for their actions and inaction in order to maintain the credibility of their profession.

He expressed that the state government would continue to support the association for the enhancement of justice delivery in the state.

He stressed that the state government and the NBA have had a cordial and proper working relationship, and will continue to work on enhancing the alredy established relationship

Earlier, the Chairman of the NBA, Minna Chapter, Barr. Gimba Mohammed disclosed that this year’s theme was “Expanding the Frontier of Legal Practice in the 21st Century” this he said was to expose its members to other means of settling conflicts without litigation.
