The Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Niger State Governor, Mrs. Mary Noel Berje says the State Government is ready to work closely with all Non-Governmental Organizations that are willing to add value to humanity.
Mrs. Noel Berje made the disclosure when she received, in audience, the Chairman Board of Trustees (BOT) of Dibri Emmanuel Foundation, a Minna based NGO in Government House.
She said, although it is the responsibility of the government to provide social services to the people, it is overwhelmed by the enormity of the tasks, hence the need to support any group with shared vision and ideals that would make the world a better place for everyone.
The Chief Press Secretary appreciated the visit and commended the NGO for directly impacting on the lives of the young ones adding that, although a relatively young foundation, the NGO had achieved a lot in a very short time.
Early, the Chairman Board of Trustees of Dibri Emmanuel Foundation, Mr. Obiora Samson Ozioma said he was in the State House to congratulate the CPS on her recent appointment and to brief her on the exploit of the foundation as a brand ambassador of the state.
Mr. Samson Ozioma disclosed that it was the aggressive activities of the foundation that qualified it to be picked as one of the biggest foundation in Northern Nigeria by the Tony Elumelu Foundation.
He stated that the foundation, representing Niger State, has been invited by the Tony Elumelu Foundation to participate in a 2-day entrepreneurial seminar on July 26-27, in Abuja, stressing that such recognition will further enhance the capacity of the foundation to achieve its goals.
