Heads of agencies and boards under the Niger State Ministry of Education have been charged to be more proactive in the discharge of their activities and work as a family with one another.
The Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Hajiya Jummai Idris Mohammed gave the charge at a 2-day 1st and 2nd quarterly review meeting for heads of agencies at the ministry’s board room.
The Permanent Secretary said the meeting was put together to take stock of activities of the agencies and boards from January to date, with a view to putting them on their toes.
Hajiya Jummai Idris said the meeting is the first of its kind in the ministry with the sole aim of assessing the achievements and constraints on planned result for 2019, identify priorities and emerging opportunities for the remaining half of the year and for 2020 workplan, identify constraints, challenges, bottle-necks encountered in the cause of implementation and how they are been addressed to accelerate achieved results among others.
The meeting which have all the agencies under the ministry in attendance was to ensure that all the stakeholders are on the same page of development in the education sector, understand each others’ peculiarities and collectively work for the goal of promoting quality education in the state.
The highlights of the meeting was the power point presentation from the agencies including that of the ministry where they explicitly discussed their activities, challenges and proffer possible solutions that will pave way for accelerated result.
