Coach Abubakar Bala has said that he is committed to his contract with Kwara United even as several teams are after his services.

Speaking exclusively to Newslinesports, the former Niger Tornadoes gaffer, who guided them to a runners-up finish in 2017 Aiteo Cup finals in Lagos said that he had respect for any contractual agreement he enters with any club.

“Am happy here in Ilorin, I am home as I lack nothing here, the people are warm and accommodating, they have strong believe in my philosophy and the players have adapted to my way of coaching.

“We are going to make few recruits. I came on a rescue mission to Kwara United last season and thankfully we are still in for the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), so we are to strengthen our squad we don’t want to find ourselves in an ugly situation, we will be ready ahead of the kick-off date of the league”, he said.

He added that he will travel to Lagos as part of his preseason as the Harmony Boys, as the Ilorin based team are nicknamed, to engage the Mountain of Fire Ministries (MFM) before leaving for Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State to take part in the prestigious Annual Gold Cup preseason tournament.

The Minna born tactician who is also an assistant coach with the national under 23 side said that the Gold Cup will be an avenue he will use to imbibe his philosophy on his boys especially the new ones that have just joined home.

The former Tornadoes and FC Lokoja coach said that Kwara United is a team in progress and he was prepared to leave a legacy and history during his spell with the team.

The coach appreciated the management of the club for their belief on him, promising not to disappoint them.
