The campaign organization for Sen Mustapha Sani Mohammed has appealed to the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Abuja, to give them justice by reversing its decision to give senatorial ticket of Niger South senatorial district to Ali Mohammed Bima.

Alh Mohammed Gana chairman of the campaign organization disclosed this while addressing journalists in Minna, Sunday.

Alh Gana said that the NWC had cancelled all senatorial elections held in the state due to irregularities and decided that the incumbent senators get an automatic waiver.

He said that they were shocked to see that their candidate, Sen Mustapha Sani Mohammed being the incumbent senator for the Niger South constituency has been replaced by Alh Bima.

According to him, if Niger North and Niger East senatorial districts should have their incumbent returned they want justice too and therefore appealed to NWC to listen to their plea.

He added that on the 2nd of October this year elections were held across the senatorial districts in the state but ended inconclusively.

The chairman said that even the national officers that came from Abuja to monitor the primaries were chased away by thugs in virtual all parts of the state.

Therefore, he said that giving the ticket to Bima without informing them why was still amazing them.

He said that the NWC might have made a mistake, saying that they still have the time to correct it.

“We are appealing to the National Working Committee (NWC) as a matter of urgency to correct the mistake which we believe was a mistake on their side”, he said.

He said that Niger North has Sen A.S Abdullahi, Niger East has Sen David Umaru returned why not Niger South too to have Sen Mustapha Sani Mohammed given the waiver too.

Gana urged the supporters of Sen Mustapha Sani Mohammed to remain calm and law-abiding, promising that as people who have respect for rule of law, they will pursue the case through due process and all lawful ways.
