Head of Civil Service, Niger State, Alh Yabagi Sule

Niger State Head of Service, Alh Yabagi Sule, has warned that, in accordance with civil service rules, any civil servant caught granting interviews to the press without the express authorization of his or her chief executive will face the full wrath of the law.

He handed down the warning while reacting to the participation of some civil servants on a radio programme in one of the FM stations in the state.

The head of service stated that extant rules in the service prohibiting civil servants from speaking to the press without authorization is still in force, warning that severe disciplinary measure awaits all defaulting officers, no matter how highly placed.

He, therefore, called on all civil servants to remain loyal and law-abiding because, according to him, in the day of reckoning obedient officers will be appropriately rewarded.

He, however, reiterated that “he who pays the piper dictates the tune,” and, therefore, implored civil servants in employment of the state to rededicate themselves to their official duties.
