Daudu Ibrahim Liman

Daudu Ibrahim Liman, 48, immigration officer, has died after a brief illness. Holder of Postgraduate Diploma in Mass Communication from Bayero University, Kano, he was, before his transition to federal civil service, image management specialist and information manager with Agaie Local Government Council in Niger State. He took up appointment with Immigration Service in 2006, the same year he left the council, and was recently promoted to the rank of Principal Inspector of Immigration, two weeks before his untimely death. After his primary school education at Suleiman Primary School, Agaie (1977-1981), he trained as a teacher at Government Teachers College, Paiko (1981-1986), and later as a writer and journalist at Federal Polytechnic, Bida, where he bagged Higher Diploma in Mass Communication in 2005, after completing the first two-year stanza in the discipline in 2002, which led to the award of National Diploma. .In 2010, he obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in the same discipline, from Bayero University, Kano.

The deceased was well known for his impressive character traits, the eloquent aspects of which were his kindness, gentility, humility, and self-efffacedness.

He was married and blessed with children.
