Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello

With effect from 1st of January next year, Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello has dropped the title of the “Executive Governor” and directed that he should be addressed simply as Mr. Governor.
He made public his new designation on Monday during the swearing in ceremony of five new Niger State High Court judges in Government House, Minna.
The governor who was through with his prepared text paused to inform the audience of the new designation and directed that the change should take effect from January next year.
He also directed that all “insignia, seal, emblem, letter heads and complementary cards” should drop the designation of “Executive Governor” and simply carry the title as “Governor of Niger State”.
“At this point, I find it necessary to inform everyone that henceforth, starting from 1st of January 2016, the Governor shall be addressed as simply “the Governor of Niger State and not as the Executive Governor.
“All emblem, seal, letter head and complementary cards shall bear the Governor of Niger State and not the Executive Governor”.
The governor’s directive received with wide ovation from dignitaries at ceremony.
